Stepping Stone, Tadcaster

Our Story

Stepping Stone, a concept initially developed and funded by St. Mary's church in Tadcaster with support from all the town's churches, opened in January 2002 as a free help and information resource for the local community and surrounding villages. Located in town centre shop premises, Stepping Stone is managed and staffed entirely by volunteers, drawn from within the local community. Stepping Stone, now an independent registered charity, has no direct income stream and is funded entirely by donations and our own fundraising activities.
Recent awards include grants from Selby District Council and the Tadcaster Urban Fund.
